Travel Diary Beautiful Sumilon

Despite the series of unfortunate events I encountered in Bluewater Sumilon Island Resorts (read about them here), I was still happy with how my trip to the island turned out. I got to spend some quality beach time, swim with whale sharks, snorkel above corals, dine by the beach and best of all, make new memories with my blogger besties. Bluewater Sumilon definitely made me feel that life is beautiful–even with knee infections, eye allergies and all. Thank you for the wonderful time, Bluewater! You’re a gem!

Oh Baby

Everyone loves a cute embroidered t-shirt (I definitely do), and I especially love this cute embroidered t-shirt. I sometimes find cutesy stuff like this a little hard to style without looking too ~teen tumblr girl~ (i.e. my true self / final form) – here I think I’ve embraced that look but toned it down by keeping the colour palette minimal. I paired the ‘baby’ tee with my beloved white tennis skirt, which is 1) hideously short 2) permanently a little bit grubby (sorry) 3) one of my favourite things to wear in the summer. I also wore a thin white choker, chunky lace-up boots, and that pink satin bomber.

By The Sea

My husband and I recently explored the beaches in Carlsbad and happened upon this small sea cave! The beige walls and blue-grey rocks make for a great, neutral back drop. I’m wearing a dress by Threads, the print is amazing! I love the 70’s vibes. I had to pair it with my favorite necklace hand-made by Amanda at Pricklie Pear. The bull skull and agate slice are the perfect combo!

Peace And Love

Obsessing over this playsuit from Missguided, the colours are just beautiful and I love the knitted texture and flared sleeves. It is such a perfect holiday or festival piece, paired with matching sunnies and some buckle heels. A tip for not letting everything fall out of this super low cut neckline is using double sided tape, I brought mine from ASOS and this one is designed to use on your skin. It just gives you peace of mind that you are all secured and avoid flashing anyone!

I took these pictures on my holiday to Mykonos, and I will be sharing some more images including where I stayed on my blog soon!

Portland Blooms

The first thing that really stood out to me in Portland, after being in the desert for awhile, were all of the beautiful blooms! All over Portland, azaleas and rhododendrons are taking over in the best way possible. I can’t help but snap a photo or two every time I see them!

Denim has been really my main go to lately. I’ve been obsessed with REdone for awhile now and I am so happy to finally own a pair! These are going to be great for summer too since the crop will keep me from melting haha. And another off the shoulder top because I AM OBSESSED WITH THEM.

Mom Jeans

It’s 6:52 pm and I’m drinking my second cup of coffee. As you know I’m not the best in hairdressing, so you can see me like this very rarely. This dutch braid was made by my friend after lecture at our University. I’m twenty one now and I feel a little bit old, haha. I decided to get some beauty treatments. I had a face cleaning and now I can’t event look into the mirror – It was worse experience than I expected.

In The Desert

I didn’t want to travel this May and this journey was till the 2nd of May but I couldn’t resist as I flew to a very special place: The desert. There aren’t many places that fascinate me like the desert. It’s so huge and quiet and lonely but mostly very hard to describe with words. Jasmin Taylor is a real girlboss and founded her own touristik company years ago specializing on journeys to the UAE. I had the most amazing time, climbing up the dunes, see the falcon show and having a dinner in the middle of nowhere.  We started from the desert resort Al Maha, which was absolutely stuning. You definitely have to go to the desert at least once in your life, it’s absolutely worth it!

Another Romper

Yes another romper… I told you I’m obsessed! So I never really gravitate towards polka dots but this one was totally an exception. I felt like it was kind of subtle and the lace detail was the perfect touch. I made it my own by adding a denim jacket, of course! This is my ideal look for walking around town in the summer or heading to happy hour after a day at the beach. OMG, I’m totally envisioning it and I can’t wait!

Festival Look to Die For

Another one of my favorite looks shot in Topanga Canyon! I madly in love with this gorgeous dress. Paired with stunner high boots and a choker, it just could never fail you . Plus who doesn’t want a gorgeous lace cape draped over their shoulders. This dress and a little wind through it will give you the mysterious and edgy effect while sticking to your boho roots.

I can’t wait for Coachella, it’s coming closer and closer. I’m collaborating with Nasty Gal to show you how you can dress head to toe from their store and save the stress of hunting for outfits aimlessly. I am so in love with this look.

Short Stop In Monterey

Yesterday, on Sunday we went up highway 1 to San Francisco and stopped at Monterey – one of my favorite places in California as the nature is simply breathtaking. But why all the road trippin’? My hubby and I spending most of the next 6 months here in the San Francisco area because he got a really really good job offer (he works as a Car designer and he is kind of badass in his job) and I’m happy to have the possibility to discover two vibrant cities and all the beautiful nature as we are keeping our L.A. home.

PS I’m selling a huge part of my wardrobe – go check it out!

Slips And Kicks

I’m so ridiculously excited by this outfit, even in all it’s effortlessness and simplicity. Who knew a low back slip dress and a pair of sneakers could make a girl so damn happy?!

I’m also loving the ‘choker’ trend that is doing the rounds at the moment. I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect leather wrap choker for what seems like months now and still haven’t come up with the goods – so I just made this one myself … ha! DIY at it’s simplest, hold the applause guys.

Es Caló Des Moro

When being at a location such as Mallorca, shooting summerly pictures is a must. During my time on the Spanish Island we decided to drive to one of the most special beaches – Caló des Moro – to shoot for Lancaster. I tested three of their sun products, as protection is key when being in the sun for a long time.

Even though I’m blonde and Nordish by nature, I feel quite lucky to not get a sunburn easily. Still, I use sun products all the time, since your skin will never forget a real sun burn (I had one a few years ago in Thailand and it was the worst – It kind of destroyed the whole trip and I was really sick for almost two weeks!).

The special thing about Lancaster sun products is the Full Light Technology which means, that all kind of light is captured and, therefore, your skin enjoys a really good protection. And just for those who love teint lines: Even with protection you get a nice teint which is way more healthy.:)

For the shooting I was wearing my all time favorite Zara bathing suit I found a few years ago.White bathing suits are my favorites and I just ordered a really nice one at Asos for my upcoming travels.:) I hope you like the pictures as much as I do. xx Leonie

Short Suit

Layering was the name of the game during my trip to the East Coast. Baltimore was chilly! But it wasn’t so cold that I couldn’t put together a fun outfit featuring a Short Suit. That’s right folks, this outfit is hinting at warmer weather which is hopefully on the horizon but with the blazer and long overcoat, is still low(but not super low!) temp friendly.

Coat / Blazer / Shorts / Top / Shoes

I love how this outfit keeps revealing cool accents as you shed layers. The overcoat sets the tone off with how well it flows as you move. The blazer underneath complements the grey coat and the plush pink choker top that bares a bit of shoulder when the blazer comes off.

Baby Pink

Baby pink… the only way I thought I would wear baby pink was when the outfit involves a hell lot of black. Apparently my rules have changed, the second possible way I would wear baby pink is when it involves a matching set with a 90s aesthetic. Literally put together this cute unif top with the pastel tennis skirt because I felt they were made to be worn together. What are the odds when two pieces are the exact same shade and of similar silhouettes (both tight and short). I added chunky boots and an acid wash jacket to make the outfit more, let say, me.

Anyways, this is all for now. I’m officially without a laptop because it decided to die all of a sudden and I’m using this old one from my boyfriend that actually has some keyboards missing. Honestly, I have no idea how I am even writing this much. I’ve been writing this text for a solid 15 min and its stressing me out so much ahhh. Hope this was worth it tho. Let me know your thoughts, would you wear this amount of pastel this summer?

Bisous Bisous

XOXO means hugs and kisses, but it also means chic and feminine fashion if you’re in the know. XOXO is a fashion brand that I’ve grown to love. I love the pieces so much that I took some with me during a recent trip to France.

Contrast is something that I love. You can see it with how I mix high fashion with street style, as well as combining classic styles with modern trends. My on-trend ripped jeans is balanced with these girly lace-up wedges from XOXO. The ribbon detail on my XOXO top sets off my look with a French fashion flourish. This flowing blouse is suited perfectly to the old world charm of the beautiful town of Marseille. These wedges are so comfortable for a day of exploring the locale, and it helps that it’s so chic too. Bisous bisous to you! Stay tuned for more of my French adventures on the blog.
