1. Each night you grow between 1 and 3 inches
In the morning you are 1 to 3 inches taller than the night before. It’s because daytime gravity does its job and causes you to shrink. While you are asleep your body stretches out again.

2. Your fingertips are so sensitive, if they were as large as our earth, you could still feel the difference between a house and a car.

5. Every 30 days you take on a new skin.
We don’t realise it, but actually we lose 40,000 skin cells per hour. Where do they go? Dust on your tables, TV, photo frames, yes that’s you.

11 806 miles is the average distance your blood travels in your body everyday. That’s about 1 /20th of the average distance to the moon.

7. You are 90 percent bacteria and fungi.
Just the bacteria in your intestines weigh more than a kilo. 90 percent of the cells in our body are bacteria and fungi.

8. Your brains requires a lot to work.
Although it represents only two percent of our total body weight, the brain consumes 20 percent of our oxygen intake and 20 percent of our calories are burned by our brain.

9. Your nails are like snails.
Human fingernails grow about 2-3 mm per month, slightly faster for men than for women.

10. Women’s hair are twice as strong built than men’s.
According to a German study from 1969 women’s hair are considerably stronger than the hair of men. 1 cm2 of woman hair would have a tensile strength of approximately 1,600 pounds, while for men it is ‘only’ 720 pounds.

The muscles that cause your eyes to focus, move more than 100,000 times a day. If you would like to give the muscles in your legs the same workout, you have to walk 75 kilometers every day.

13. Your brains work more at night than during daytime.
The human brain is actually more active at night than during the day. You’d think with all that movement, coordination, and calculating all the interactions we have the brain would be work during the day much more than at night when we sleep. But actually when you turn off the physical stuff, your brain turns on.

14. The smarter you are, the more you dream.
People with higher IQs have more dreams.

15. Your stomach acid can dissolve razor blades.
Every three days, the cells in your stomach will be completely renewed.

16. You don’t have small bladder.
Your bladder is about as big as a tennis ball. It depends from person to person, but the bladder can hold between 800 ml and 1 liter. Most people need to go pee between 200 and 400 ml.

17. You’re not a great light.
Your brains consume as much energy as a light bulb of 10 watts.

18. Your nose can recognise 50,000 different smells.

Between 12 and 25 every day. At least if you’re healthy.

20. Women fart more than men.
Women will never admit it. When they eat the exact same food, women produce even more gas than men.

Intestinal gas consisting of nitrogen, oxygen, methane, carbon dioxide and hydrogen. A flame of one meter in length can be generated because of all the gas in your body.

22. You’re just a walking bomb.
If you fart for six years and nine months straight, you’d have produced enough gas equivalent to the amount needed for an atomic bomb.
